Obverse description Central field displays the crowned Vasa sheaf arms, rendered in relief on an irregularly cut square copper flan characteristic of klippe coinage. The royal cypher of Gustav II Adolf, composed of the interlaced initials G and A, flanks the shield to left and right respectively, with the letter R completing the royal title below. The crowned Vasa sheaf, depicted with a fan of grain and bound shaft, dominates the composition, while the royal monogram letters are disposed in the field around it. The overall design is struck in a bold, relatively crude hammer style typical of early Swedish copper klippingar.
