| Obverse description | The Mexican national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an eagle passant to the left, perched upon a prickly pear cactus growing from a rock in a lake, and grasping a serpent in its beak and talons. The eagle is rendered in high relief with finely detailed feathering and outstretched wings. A wreath of oak and laurel branches frames the lower portion of the design. The circular legend 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters. |
