Obverse description The obverse bears a two-line Persian poetic legend in nastaliq script, reading: 'بنشست چو آفتاب نقش زر و سیم / تا یافت شرف سکه ز ابراهیم' (translating as: 'Like the sun, the image of gold and silver was set / Until the coin gained honor from Ibrahim'). The inscription references Ibrahim Shah Afshar and is rendered in an elegant calligraphic style within the irregular hammered coin field. No figural imagery or border ornaments are present; the legend occupies the entirety of the flan. The script is consistent with Afsharid-era coinage conventions, with the ruler's name prominently featured in the closing hemistich.
