| Reverse description | The reverse presents a central oval cartouche enclosing a stylised trishula (trident) surmounted by a parasol and flanked by attendant devices, rendered in the bold raised relief typical of Malla hammered silver coinage. The central cartouche is framed above and below by horizontal dividing lines, with Newar script legends occupying both the upper and lower registers. Additional script characters appear in the lateral fields to the left and right of the central device. The date in Nepal Sambat numerals is prominently displayed in the lower register. The entire composition is contained within a beaded border encircling the rim. |
