Obverse lettering السلطان ابوالمظفر شاه طهماسب الصفوی ضرب اردو ٩٥٦
Reverse description The reverse is entirely covered by a multi-line Arabic Shi'a religious legend in bold Nasta'liq script, struck in high relief across the entire field. The text presents the Islamic declaration of faith (Shahada) in its Twelver Shi'a form, affirming the unity of God, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the imamate of Ali. The inscription fills the flan to the rim without a border or decorative framing, consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the early Safavid period.
