| Reverse description | Arabic legend in bold calligraphic script fills the central field, reading 'besh fung' (5 fen) with the AH date 1294 incorporated into the inscription. The legend is enclosed within a teardrop-shaped border of dashed inner ring and a pronounced scalloped outer rim consistent with the obverse. The irregular flan and hand-struck nature of the die are evident, typical of Sinkiang provincial issues of this period. |
