| Obverse description | Outer milled rim enclosing a plain legend band bearing the circular inscription. A continuous inner pearl border frames the central field, within which the denomination '1/2 MARK' is displayed in large upright capital letters arranged vertically across the flat, unadorned field. The encircling legend reads 'MAGISTRAT DER STADT LANDSBERG A/W.' separated by a small pellet stop, executed in incuse-style raised lettering in a plain utilitarian style characteristic of World War I German notgeld coinage. |
