Obverse description Central field depicts a crowned, armored bust of King Gustav Vasa facing right, rendered in the medieval hammered style with bold relief. The king is shown in full regalia with a prominent crown above the visor helmet and a scepter or sword visible against the body. The effigy is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in Latin reads GOSTAVS · D : G · REX · SWECIE ·, identifying the king by name and his title by the grace of God, King of Sweden. The lettering is arranged around the full circumference between the beaded and outer rims.
