Reverse description Octagonal iron field featuring the denomination '1/2 MARK' in bold raised capital letters at center, flanked on either side by a symmetrical wreath composed of oak branches bearing acorns and foliage. The two branches cross at the base and extend upward to frame the denomination, their tips meeting at the upper portion of the field near the fraction numeral. The overall design is plain and utilitarian, characteristic of German Notgeld emergency coinage of the First World War period. No peripheral legend is present on this face.
