Obverse description The left half carries the Strausberg municipal coat of arms — a blue shield bearing a white ostrich surmounted by a red eagle — set within a decorative cartouche, with the serial number presented in a ruled box beneath it; a diagonal crosshatch underprint in red and blue covers the cream ground overall. The right half is composed in bold Fraktur script identifying the issuing authority, denomination, and date, framed above and below by ornamental guilloche borders. Multiple manuscript signatures of city council members appear at foot.

Reverse description The reverse is rendered in brown and ochre on a plain cream ground, centred on a large woodcut-style vignette of an 18th-century street scene in which a broken-down horse-drawn carriage is surrounded by soldiers and townsfolk, evoking a historical anecdote associated with Strausberg. A ribbon cartouche at the upper centre carries the denomination "½ M.", while a curved inscription along the upper border reproduces a period quotation attributed to 1765.
Reverse lettering ½ M.
