Obverse description The State of Israel emblem — a seven-branched menorah flanked by two olive branches — is depicted centrally in the field. The country name appears in three scripts arranged around the base of the emblem: in Hebrew (ישראל) to the right, Arabic (اسرائيل) to the left, and Latin (ISRAEL) below. The design is executed in a clean, modernist style consistent with Israeli coinage of the period.
