| Reverse description | The reverse field presents the quartered arms of Liège, featuring alternating horizontal barry stripes and the perron of Liège, the whole surmounted by a princely crown. The denomination numeral XII, denoting 12 sols, appears prominently in the lower portion of the field. The design is bold and simply executed, characteristic of the debased small copper coinage issued for everyday circulation during the episcopate of Ferdinand of Bavaria. The flan is typical of hammered copper production, with slight irregularities in the striking. |
