Obverse description Central field displays the crowned Bavarian lozenge shield (fusily bendwise azure and argent), rendered in the characteristic hammered style of the period. The electoral bonnet or princely crown appears above the shield, flanked by small fleurons or ornamental devices at the upper left and right. The date numerals are split and placed in the field to either side of the lower portion of the shield, here reading 16-31. The overall design is typical of small Bavarian subsidiary coinage struck under Elector Maximilian I, with a plain, unlettered field surrounding the heraldic motif.

Reverse description Plain, unadorned reverse with no devices, inscriptions, or decorative elements, presenting a flat or slightly convex flan surface consistent with hammered coinage of small denomination. The blank reverse is characteristic of this issue of Bavarian half-Kreuzer coinage under Maximilian I, where all identifying information was concentrated on the obverse. The surface shows the natural texture and flow lines typical of hand-struck silver of the early seventeenth century.
