Obverse description The Bohemian lion rampant occupies the central field, depicted facing left with crown above and tail curled, rendered in low relief on a worn billon flan. The figure displays the characteristic double-tailed heraldic lion of Bohemia. The field is unadorned, and the coin is bounded by a fine milled border of denticles running along the full circumference. The mint mark letters I·P (for the Prague mint master) appear in the lower portion of the field beneath the lion.
