Obverse description Central shield-shaped coat of arms of Zofingen, depicting a stylized fortified gate or portcullis motif with vertical striping, set within a plain inner circle. The circular legend surrounding the device reads MONET · NOV · ZOFINGENS, with the text distributed around the full perimeter of the coin. The coin's milled edge is clearly visible. The overall style is characteristic of small Swiss cantonal billon coinage of the early eighteenth century.
