Obverse description Central field features a small raised circular medallion enclosing a stylised numeral or ornamental device, surrounded by a radiating arrangement of interlaced Arabic calligraphic legend reading 'نصف خاروب' (half kharub). The entire design is framed by a wreath of olive or laurel branches encircling the periphery, rendered in a flowing, organic style typical of late Ottoman-era Tunisian copper coinage.
