Reverse description Hammered copper reverse displaying a two-line Devanagari inscription within a divided rectangular panel. The upper register bears 'Chhatra' and the lower 'Pati', together forming the royal title 'Chhatrapati', although the lettering on some specimens exhibits an orthographic variant rendering it as 'Chhatra Papi'. The inscription is boldly raised with characteristic crude execution typical of early Maratha hammered coinage. The surrounding field is plain, and the irregular flan edge reflects the hand-struck production technique.
