Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, Saint Rupert stands facing, holding a salt cellar in his right hand and a crozier in his left hand. The quartered arms of Salzburg and the Archbishop are superimposed at center, flanking the letters S and R. A mitre divides the surrounding Latin legend, which runs along the outer rim.

Reverse description A crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed fills the field, with a rounded orb bearing the denomination numeral 30 on the breast. The imperial crown surmounts both heads. A Latin legend, beginning at approximately 2 o'clock, encircles the eagle along the outer rim, citing Emperor Maximilian and referencing the imperial decree establishing the coin's value.
