Reverse description The fractional denomination 1/2 GULDEN is displayed in two lines at center, with the date 1851 below, all within a symmetrical wreath of oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The oak leaves and acorns are rendered in fine detail, and the wreath occupies most of the reverse field, leaving a narrow border with a beaded inner rim. The overall design is clean and formal, consistent with Bavarian coinage of the mid-nineteenth century.
