| Additional information |
Frederick Günther ruled Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt from 1807 until his death in 1867, making this one of the longer-reigning princes among the Thuringian states. The half gulden denomination reflects the South German currency standard adopted by many smaller German states through the 1837 Munich Convention, which bound the Schwarzburg principalities — along with Bavaria, Württemberg, and others — to a shared silver coinage system well before any broader German monetary unification was achieved.
