Obverse description Armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand I facing right, wearing a crown and elaborate plate armor with ruffled collar, holding an orb bearing the numeral 30 (denoting the 30 Kreuzer denomination) surmounted by a cross. The effigy is rendered in the robust Renaissance style typical of mid-sixteenth century Bohemian coinage. A circular pearl border separates the central design from the surrounding legend. The Latin legend FERDI D G RO IM S AVG GER H B RE runs along the outer margin, abbreviated from Ferdinandus Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus Germaniae Hungariae Bohemiaeque Rex.
