Obverse description Central shield bearing the rampant lion of Holland, surmounted by an elaborate crowned helm, occupies the field. The denomination 1/2 G is inscribed flanking the shield to the left and right respectively. A circular Latin legend, interrupted by a six-pointed star at the top, runs along the periphery, separated from the central device by a fine inner border.
