Reverse description A ornate cross pattée with flared, rounded terminals occupies the central field, rendered in relief with fine detail. The legend CRUX CHR NOST SAL is arranged in a circular band around the cross, reading 'Crux Christi Nostra Salus' (The Cross of Christ, our Salvation). Below the cross in the lower field, the mint master's initials RDDB appear as a control mark. A six-pointed star appears at the top of the legend as a stop mark, and additional period stops separate the abbreviated words throughout the inscription.
