Obverse description Facing bust of Saint Tryphon, patron saint of Kotor, depicted frontally with a nimbus (halo) around his head, rendered in a stylized Byzantine manner. The saint is shown in ecclesiastical vestments with architectural or decorative detailing at the shoulders. The surrounding circular legend reads S.ANTIS.TRIPHON, partially visible along the coin's irregular border, separated by stops. The overall style reflects the provincial Byzantine artistic tradition prevalent in medieval Dalmatian civic coinage.
