| Obverse description | Central field features a crowned quartered shield bearing the arms of Lorraine and Bar, divided by a vertical line, with the cross of Lorraine visible in the lower quarter. The shield is surmounted by a ducal crown. The surrounding circular legend reads HENRI.D.G.DVX.LOT., identifying Henry II as Duke of Lorraine by the grace of God. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan typical of hammered billon coinage of the early seventeenth century. |
