Obverse description Central shield bearing the eight-pointed star of Waldeck on a dotted field, surmounted by a princely crown with cross finial. The circular Latin legend FÜRST. WALDECK. LAND MÜNZE. runs around the periphery, with the reeded edge visible at the coin's rim. The arms are rendered in a clean neoclassical style typical of early nineteenth-century German state coinage.
