| Obverse description | Central device depicts the crowned lion of Luxembourg rampant to the left on a burelé field, bearing on its breast a quartered shield: quarters 1 and 4 charged with the arms of Burgundy, quarter 2 with the lion of Brabant, and quarter 3 with the lion of Limburg; the partition lines of quarters 1 and 4 are not cantonned. The heraldic design is rendered in the Gothic hammered style characteristic of early 15th-century Brabantine coinage. The legend is contained within two concentric pearled circles bordering the field. |

| Reverse description | A long patted cross divides the field into four quarters: quarter 1 charged with the rampant lion of Brabant, quarters 2 and 3 each bearing a fleur-de-lis, and quarter 4 charged with the rampant lion of Limburg. The cross is of the pattée form, with splayed terminals, and the overall composition is typical of the quartered-cross monetary type prevalent in the Low Countries during the early 15th century. The circumferential legend is enclosed between two concentric pearled circles. |
