Reverse description A short floriated cross occupies the center of the field, its arms terminating in decorative floral or trefoil finials in the Gothic manner. At the crossing of the arms, a rosette is set within a diamond-shaped lozenge, serving as the central ornament. The cross divides the field into four quadrants, each plain. A circular legend in uncial Latin surrounds the design, enclosed within a beaded border at the periphery. The overall composition is characteristic of Burgundian Netherlands billon coinage of the late 15th century.
