Obverse description Crude crowned bust of King Edward VI facing right, depicted with a large crown and draped shoulders, contained within a beaded inner circle. The royal effigy is rendered in the debased first-period style typical of the early Edwardian coinage. A mintmark appears above the bust, and the abbreviated Latin legend runs around the periphery within the beaded border.
