Reverse description A long voided cross extending to the inner beaded circle divides the reverse field into four quarters. The first and fourth quarters each contain an annulet, while the second and third quarters each bear three bezants arranged in a triangular grouping. The peripheral legend, naming the city of Barcelona, is inscribed between two concentric beaded circles in a style consistent with the civic coinage of the Crown of Aragon.
