The first and fourth quarters each contain an annulet, while the second and third quarters each bear three bezants arranged in a triangular grouping. The peripheral legend, naming the city of Barcelona, is inscribed between two concentric beaded circles in a style consistent with the civic coinage of the Crown of Aragon. |
