Obverse description Hammered copper flan bearing a three-line Arabic inscription in bold, somewhat irregular calligraphy occupying the central field. The legend reads 'Al-Sultan al-A'zam / 'Ala al-Dunya wa al-Din / Humayun Shah', conferring the royal titulature of Sultan Ala al-Din Humayun Shah of the Bahmani Sultanate. The lettering is deeply struck with characteristic Bahmani script style, and residual green patination is visible across the surface.
