Obverse description Laureate bust of Jérôme Bonaparte (Hieronymus Napoleon), King of Westphalia, facing right, rendered in a neoclassical style. The hair is elaborately curled beneath a laurel wreath, with the drapery truncation visible at the base of the neck. The engraver's signature 'Tiolier' appears in small incuse letters along the lower neck truncation. The circular legend 'HIERONYMUS NAPOLEON' runs along the periphery. The portrait exemplifies the refined medallic craftsmanship of Jean-Pierre Tiolier, Chief Engraver of the Paris Mint.
