Obverse description Printed in black letterpress on a salmon-pink guilloche underprint of interlocking rosette and star patterns, the note is enclosed within a geometric border with diamond corner ornaments. The heading 'Holzgutschein der Stadt Bad Wildungen' appears in bold type at the top, with the wood-denominated value in large Gothic script across the centre. The lower portion carries redemption and validity conditions in Gothic typeface, dated 5 November 1923, accompanied by three manuscript signatures of municipal officials and a circular official stamp at lower left.

Gegen diesen Gutschein liefert die Stadt Bad Wildungen
1/2 Fm. Buchennutzholz mittlerer Güte.
Holzgutscheine der Serie A, verlieren am 31. Dez. 1923, mittags 12 Uhr, ihre
Gültigkeit. Der Gemeindevorstand kann die Gutscheine der Serie A auch innerhalb
der Geltungdauer mit einwöchiger Frist zur Auflösung aufrufen. Die Scheine verlieren
dann am letzten Tage der Frist ihre Gültigkeit. Der Gemeindevorstand kann bestimmen,
dass die Einlösung statt Holz in Gold beliebiger Währung erfolgt. Der Fm.
Buchennutzholz mittlerer Güte wird dann mit 20 Goldmark nach dem letzten amtlichen
Kurse des der Zahlung vorausgehenden Tages berechnet.
