| Obverse description | Standing frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist depicted in high relief, robed in a long garment with fine drapery folds, nimbed with a circular halo, and raising his right hand in a gesture of blessing while his left hand holds a staff or cross. The saint stands on a small ground line, with the overall composition closely following the Florentine florin prototype. A circular Latin legend surrounds the figure in the border of the coin. |
