Obverse description Standing frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist depicted in high relief, robed in a long garment with fine drapery folds, nimbed with a circular halo, and raising his right hand in a gesture of blessing while his left hand holds a staff or cross. The saint stands on a small ground line, with the overall composition closely following the Florentine florin prototype. A circular Latin legend surrounds the figure in the border of the coin.

Reverse description A large, detailed fleur-de-lis occupies the central field of the reverse, rendered in the Gothic style characteristic of Aragonese imitations of the Florentine florin. The lily is depicted with elegantly curving lateral petals and a prominent central petal rising toward the upper border, with fine engraved detail throughout. A small heraldic device or mintmark appears at the top of the field above the fleur-de-lis. The surrounding circular Latin legend names Peter IV as King of Aragon, running along the coin's border.
