Obverse description Bold Arabic inscription in Naskh script occupying the upper field, presenting the name of the ruling sultan Murtaza II. A horizontal line divides the flan, with additional calligraphic text in the lower field denoting the mint name. The legends are rendered in raised relief characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the Deccan sultanates, with irregular flan edges typical of the period.
