The heraldic device is rendered in a compact, slightly coarse style characteristic of emergency or largesse klippe issues. The peripheral Latin legend NOR · VAN · GOT · REX · TAN · DEM runs along the four edges of the flan, completing the royal titulature begun on the obverse. The plain fields show the natural texture of the hammered gold flan. |
