Obverse description Draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing wig, within a beaded inner circle. The emperor is portrayed in imperial armor with an ornate mantle visible at the shoulder. The circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading LEOPOLDVS D G RO IMPER S A, identifying him as Holy Roman Emperor by the grace of God. The portrait exhibits the high-relief baroque style characteristic of the Prague mint in the late 17th century.
