Obverse description Draped bust of George Washington facing left, rendered in a neoclassical style, with queue-tied hair and a ruffled cravat visible at the truncation. The circumferential legend reads G. WASHINGTON PRESIDENT. I. in capital Latin letters, separated by raised dots, with the date 1792 positioned in the lower field below the effigy. A fine reeded border frames the entire design, characteristic of the early American pattern coinage produced by Peter Getz in Philadelphia.

Reverse description A heraldic American eagle displayed with wings spread wide, its head turned to the viewer's left, bearing a vertically striped shield on its breast. The eagle's talons clutch an olive branch to the left and a bundle of arrows to the right, symbolizing peace and readiness for war. A constellation of thirteen five-pointed stars arranged in a loose arc appears above the eagle's head, referencing the original thirteen states of the Union. The circumferential legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA runs around the border, punctuated by raised dots at each terminus, with a reeded rim encircling the entire design.
