| Obverse description | The obverse features a prominent sheriff's star rendered in bold relief at the center of the field, symbolizing the law enforcement community and the officers' essential role in public service. The star's five points extend nearly to the inner border, with fine detail work in the design evoking both authority and civic duty. The legend SERVE AND PROTECT arcs along the upper portion of the coin, while LIBERTY and the date 2021 appear in the field. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST is also present, completing the patriotic inscriptions as required by law. The design was executed by engraver John McGraw. |
