| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend SOLOMON ISLANDS is inscribed along the curved upper border, flanked by Greek key ornamental devices, with the denomination HALF DOLLAR appearing to the left and right of the portrait respectively. The date 2020 is inscribed along the curved lower border, also flanked by Greek key decorative borders. The antiqued copper finish lends a warm, ancient appearance to the entire obverse field. |
