The Marseille series from the Solomon Islands mint program belongs to a wave of small-format .999 silver fractionals that proliferated in the 2010s, issued under Pacific territorial licensing arrangements that have little to do with the islands themselves. The Solomon Islands lends its issuing authority to dozens of such collector pieces annually.
