Reverse description Five female figures in traditional Native American dress are depicted in high relief, engaged in the craft of basket weaving. The central figure kneels, working on a large coiled basket, while the surrounding figures hold or examine finished woven pieces. The scene is framed by an intricately engraved border of interlaced vine or branch motifs. The legend CRAFTS arches across the upper field within the border, and the denomination legend HALF DOLLAR curves along the lower rim. The Iipay-language inscription AACHMVYAAWP appears between the figural scene and the lower denomination legend.
