Reverse description The reverse is composed entirely of Arabic Maghribi script arranged in four stacked horizontal lines symmetrically disposed across the field, bearing no figural motif or ornamental device. The legend reads 'Half legal Dirham of Hassan,' simultaneously declaring the denomination and the issuing authority of Sultan Moulay al-Hasan I. The inscription occupies the full height of the field in a balanced, rectilinear layout consistent with Moroccan epigraphic coinage traditions. A continuous beaded border encircles the design, matching the obverse treatment and reflecting the uniform aesthetic of the Paris Mint striking.
