Obverse description The Royal Arms of Morocco occupies the central field, depicting a shield bearing a green pentagram (Solomon's Star) above a rising sun on a red ground, flanked by two rampant lion supporters and surmounted by a royal crown. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in Arabic script. The Arabic legend 'المملكة المغربية' (Kingdom of Morocco) appears along the lower periphery, while the dual dates '2002' (Gregorian) and '1423' (Hijri) are inscribed vertically on the left and right sides of the field respectively.
