Reverse description Central field features a circular incuse ring enclosing the dual-dated inscription in Arabic Eastern numerals giving both the Hijri year 1395 and the Gregorian year 1975, below which appears the denomination in Arabic script as 'نصف درهم' (Half Dirham) and '٥٠ فلساً' (50 Fils). The central circle is flanked by two symmetrical olive branches rising from the lower field and meeting at the top, forming an open wreath. Below the wreath and outside the inner circle, the Latin legends 'FIFTY FILS' and 'THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN' are inscribed in two arcing lines along the lower periphery. A reeded border frames the entire reverse design.
