(Translation: Hussein bin Talal King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan)
Reverse description Central circle contains the dual-dated inscription in Arabic Hijri and Gregorian numerals at the top, followed by the denomination expressed in Arabic as 'نصف درهم' (Half Dirham) and '٥٠ فلسا' (50 Fils). Below within the circle, the English legend 'FIFTY FILS' appears, and along the lower periphery outside the circle reads 'THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN'. The central circle is flanked on each side by a symmetrical olive or laurel sprig, their stems meeting at the base and arching outward toward the rim.
