Obverse description A condor displayed with wings fully spread occupies the central field, rendered in fine engraved detail with feathers clearly delineated on the outstretched wings and tail. The bird faces left with its head turned in profile, perched in a heraldic posture characteristic of Chilean coinage of the period. The national motto legend POR LA RAZON O LA FUERZA arcs around the upper periphery, while the date appears in the lower exergual area flanked by small decorative stops. The reeded border frames the design on all sides.
