Obverse description Central shield bearing a rampant lion, surmounted by a crowned helmet with decorative mantling, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Flanking the shield are scrolling ornamental volutes in the field. The date 1576 appears below the beaded circle, rendered within a decorative cartouche. The design is crudely but distinctly struck in lead, consistent with emergency coinage produced under siege conditions at Zierikzee.

Obverse lettering 1576
Reverse description The reverse is entirely blank, presenting a plain, unworked lead surface with no devices, legends, or decorative elements. The flat field bears only incidental surface marks and flow lines resulting from the hammering process, characteristic of hastily produced siege emergency coinage.
