| Reverse description | A floriated cross occupies the full field, upon which four crowned royal monograms composed of the interlaced letters PH are arranged radially at the ends of the cross arms, with a central S at the intersection. The denomination of 16 stuivers is indicated by the numeral '16' and the letter 'S' flanking the center of the cross. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend and date distributed in the outer field. The overall composition reflects the standard Habsburg monogram-cross type employed throughout the Low Countries during the reign of Philip II. |
