| Reverse description | Decorated heraldic shield displaying the composite coat of arms of the Lordship of Bergh, incorporating the arms of Bergh and Boxmeer with the escutcheon of Hedel en surtout, rendered in the quartered style typical of sixteenth-century Netherlandish heraldic coinage. The shield is embellished with ornamental mantling. The legend, identifying this as a new money of Hedel valued at fifteen stuivers, runs between two pearled concentric circles and is punctuated by fleur-de-lis mint marks serving as word separators and terminal markers. |
